If you like tmux, check out hpr3845 :: Using tmux
- it uses tmux-resurrect to auto save multiple sessions between reboots.

I also have to use a laptop for my main computer, though it is nice to have the same exact setup both at home and when I'm not.

I will say that TLP supports setting charge limits directly, and I'd reccomend setting it up there since it persists after boot.

Localsend looks interesting, I'll check it out!
