In this show Ken explains that we are competing with other players in the Entertainment Industry. That we have no control of the supply chain, and rely on hosts to consider the scheduling guidelines when uploading their show.
- You must have your audio recording ready to upload before you pick a slot.
- New hosts, Interviews, and other time critical shows should use the first free slot.
- Always try and fill any free slots that are available in the upcoming two weeks.
- When the queue is filling up then leave some slots free for new contributors.
- Post non urgent shows into the first empty week.
- If you are uploading a series of shows then post them one every two weeks.
- If you have a non urgent show that is timeless, then add every second show to the Reserve Queue.

Very sensible scheduling guidelines, but I honestly don't know why we leave it to the multitude of hosts to follow them. If it were up to me all shows would go into one queue, and they'd get scheduled following some set of transparent rules, automatically if possible. Reserving a date would be only at least 1 or 2 months out. Then you could do things like ensure new hosts always get the nth slot from the day they upload. The only issue is we'd lose the psychological effect of the reserve queue as a buffer between today and the end of the project. The problem with the current way is that, since we talk about technology and hosts are always learning more things, it is nearly impossible for a show to be evergreen enough to sit in the reserve queue as long as they usually do.
